Money and happiness

React to this statement: 'After a certain point, money doesn't make you happier.' Do you agree?

Up to a point, I'd agree. Money up to a comfortable threshold absolutely buys happiness — escaping financial stress, having choices, having time. Beyond that, the research seems pretty consistent: more income buys more stuff, and stuff doesn't move the needle. But 'comfortable' is doing a lot of work in that sentence. For a single mother working two jobs to pay rent, more money is still very much the answer. So it depends entirely on where you're standing when you say it.
