Describing Vienna
Describe your home town to someone who's never been there. Avoid the obvious — go for what locals actually notice.
Step 1 · Listen to a model answer
Vienna is hard to summarise because it does several things well at once. The tourist version is grand stone buildings and Mozart on every corner — that's all real, but it's not what locals see. We see the Naschmarkt on a Saturday, the late-night kebab stands by the U-Bahn, Sundays in Schönbrunn park, the rivalry between coffee houses. It's a working city that happens to look like an imperial capital. Both versions are true.
